We’re thrilled to have you join us at Bits N Bobs! This community-driven exchange is all about sharing, sparking creativity, and helping you find the supplies you need for your next project. By attending, you’re helping to build a space where crafters can connect, create, and recycle supplies in a fun and sustainable way.

Rules of the Exchange

To ensure the exchange runs smoothly and everyone has a positive experience, please follow these guidelines:

You do not need to bring supplies to participate. Feel free to take what you need, regardless of whether you bring items to donate.

When donating, please place your items in the appropriate categories (e.g., sewing, painting, yarn crafts) to help keep things organized and easy to browse.

Take only what you need. While you are free to take whatever inspires you, please be mindful of others and only take what you can realistically use. This way, there will be enough supplies for everyone.

We ask that all donated items are clean, functional, and in good condition. Broken or incomplete items (such as dried-out glue sticks or tangled yarn) cannot be accepted. If you’re unsure about an item, please check with a volunteer.

Once you donate, you cannot control who receives your items. This exchange is about sharing, so donate with the spirit of generosity, knowing that your items will help others get creative.

At the end of the event, if your donated items are still available, you are welcome to take them back with you. Any unclaimed items will be sorted and stored for future exchanges, space permitting.

Please be mindful of safety when donating sharp items (scissors, needles, etc.). These should be properly labeled and stored securely. For chemical items like paints or adhesives, please ensure they are sealed and clearly marked.

Arrive on time to fully enjoy the event, and be mindful of others’ time as well. Please leave promptly so volunteers can clean up.

We ask that you take only what you will realistically use, leaving room for others to find what they need. Please respect the space and try not to hoard items.

If you’re able to help, we’d love your support with sorting, setup, or cleanup. Volunteers are essential to keeping the exchange running smoothly!

This is a shared space, so please treat others and their items with respect. If you’re interested in something someone else is looking at, please wait your turn or ask if they’re done. Disputes should be handled calmly or addressed by a volunteer.

Children are welcome, but please ensure they are supervised at all times. For safety and allergy reasons, pets should stay at home, except for service animals.

If you’d like to test items like markers or paint, please feel free to do so in a designated testing area, if available.

At the end of the exchange, any leftover items will be sorted and saved for future events. While we do our best to rotate the supplies available, some items may not be available at every exchange.

Please check with the event organizers if you have any large or bulky donations, such as furniture or large canvases, to ensure there is enough space for these items.

Important Notes About Donations

Non-Tax Deductible: Bits N Bobs is a community-driven initiative, not a registered nonprofit organization. As such, donations made at this event are not eligible for tax deductions. This helps keep the exchange informal and accessible to all participants.

This exchange is fueled by the kindness and cooperation of everyone involved. Please:
