Got a closet full of yarn you’ll never knit? A drawer of buttons, a bin of fabric scraps, half-used paint, that bag of beads from a phase you’re over? Don’t let it hit the landfill. Bring it to Bits N Bobs.
We’re a small, local Santa Cruz County outfit, not a nonprofit, just neighbors who believe good materials deserve a second life and every maker deserves affordable supplies. Your donated craft stuff gets sorted, loved, and passed along to the next person ready to make something out of it.
Where your stuff goes. Every bag you bring stays right here in the community. Those supplies land in the hands of local crafters, families, and kids who might not otherwise afford them, and they stay out of the landfill for good. That’s the whole payoff, and it’s a good one.
Here’s how to donate:
Catch us around town. We pop up at community events and donation drives across the county. Check the calendar for where we’ll be next.
What we take. Fabric, yarn, beads, buttons, needles, paint, paper, scissors, tools, patterns, and craft books. The full list lives here. Clean, sorted, and good to go is all we ask.
Not sure if we’ll take it? Just ask. We’re friendly, and we’d rather you reach out than toss something we’d have loved.
Every bag you bring keeps good stuff out of the landfill and puts affordable supplies in the hands of local makers. That’s the whole idea. Thanks, Santa Cruz.
